Autosave is early software — the sections below describe exactly what exists today, not what is planned.
What we store when you connect Steam
- Your 17-digit Steam ID (your public account identifier).
- Your Steam persona name and avatar URL.
- Whether your Steam profile is public or private — needed to tell you when your library cannot be read.
- The time you connected, and a login session cookie.
We never see or receive your Steam password. Signing in happens on Steam’s own site; Steam tells us only that you control the account. All game data we read is data Steam already exposes publicly for your account.
Where it lives
In a PostgreSQL database hosted by Railway in the United States (us-west). Backups are stored in the same region. We do not sell data, show third-party ads, or share your data with anyone except the infrastructure providers needed to run the service.
How long we keep it
Your gaming history is the product, so we keep it until you ask us to delete it. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, linked Steam account, and all recorded history.
Deleting your data
A self-service delete button is coming with the account area. Until then, email [email protected] from any address and say which Steam account to remove — we will delete it and confirm.
Cookies
Two, both strictly necessary: a short-lived cookie that protects the login flow, and a signed session cookie that keeps you logged in. No analytics or advertising cookies.
